After seeing a sudden spike in visitors to my blog, I discovered that if you do a google-images search for breastfeeding, my site is the first one to come up. I guess any traffic is good traffic, and if the whole world knows about my low milk supply, so be it.
Which leads me to a question, all you readers who are not members of my family…..how did you find my blog?
didn’t i find you because you left a comment on *my* blog? so then….how did *you* find *me*!? 🙂 it’s a never-ending cycle, i think! lol….
don’t you love reading your traffic stats?
I think I was looking for some local blogs about Jewish family activities, and found Here in HP, and then I found Ima on the Bima (hi Pyhllis! I have been meaning to leave you a comment too), and then I found you.
Phyllis – I found you from Reflections of a Rabbi’s Wife, which I found from Finding Blanche, which I found from my brother (she is a high school friend of his.)
Hi there, I haven’t commented before, but I’ve been enjoying your blog. I found it recently while looking for resources on raising a creative Jewish family, especially for those of us who live in not-very-Jewish towns.
I found your blog through my google alerts!
Haveil Havalim. But, wow. Are you going to take that picture off the site? That would skeeze me out.
I actually found your blog link on the PJ Library’s newsletter. I too am interested in raising a daughter in a not-so-Jewish town so I love your blog.
This is a fun thread!
If it were *my* breast, maybe I would have second thoughts about it. But no, I’m assuming everyone searching for breastfeeding pics has pure intentions, and perhaps a few of them will even enjoy my blog.
Plus, my fleeting moment of fame seems to have vanished. I’m no longer even on the first page of matches for that search.
Well, I googled Jewish Parenting and your blog came up and seems nice and interesting, so I added it to my recommendations for others to enjoy as well. Keep up the great blogging!
Yours is the best blog I know! Why cant I stop laughing with every entry and snorting with “Finally someone who gets it!” inspiration to be a Jewish mama!
seriously amy I hope you get awards for this one of these days.
p.s. gorgeous photo and kol hakavod lach. i have a similar photo but from the western wall which I will try to find for you.
I found it through a Google alert as well. Come visit!
Hi…not sure if you’ll see this late comment or not, but I found your blog when I googled “Jewish families + spanking” That led to a site which led to yours.
I am a Christian who does NOT spank her child. Since the Christians I know who DO spank their children use Proverbs and Hebrews (book in the Christian Bible) as their justification, I did a big word study on the words used. Then I decided to see what “real” Jewish moms and dads did in regards to spanking. That led to your blog.
During my first job after college, I worked in an office where I was the only person who wasn’t Jewish. I enjoyed it.
Are you surprised that I am one of your readers? Your blog is great! I can’t wait to check out some of the books you recommend!
Thanks!
I think it’s quite possible to use passages from the Bible to support or condemn almost anything. Personally, I’m against corporal punishment and I don’t think I know any other parents who spank their kids either, Jewish or non-Jewish.
I was googling breastfeeding rates in Jewish communities and your blog came up on the first page…not sure why I was googling this…it just seems to be that more Jews choose to bf than goyim and I was curious if statistics bear this out…
I found you because I was looking for a jewish information site regarding breastfeeding. ALSO I really would like to find the documentary that was made something like 5 years ago? About Orthodox women who have many babies and spend a dozen years breastfeeding? Thanks
Sorry, I’m not familiar with it, but maybe another reader here is.
Thanks I figured it out, it is called BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY, sadly the purchase price is nearly $300. Will probably hope for a future screening. Thanks
i’m a new member of the pj library, and found your blog through them. i love it.
My cousin became a fan of your blog on Facebook, and I found you through her. We are about to have our first baby, and so far I’m loving your blog!
